Hi there, welcome!
My name is Haleigh Anderson, and I am an acrylic and oil painter from Des Moines, Iowa. I grew up in Des Moines and am proud to be part of such a vibrant and growing community of artists! I received my BFA in Integrated Studio Arts from Iowa State University and have been painting professionally for the last couple of years.
My paintings are all about experiences–often quiet, sometimes loud. There are moments in my life where I find myself thinking, “this experience is so beautiful, I want to hold onto this moment forever”. Call it clinging to nostalgia, but these moments inspire me to paint and I find myself re-imaging life in 2D form. I craft thoughtful, immersive paintings with an emphasis on color and light relationships.
I have exhibited my work in multiple shows and public spaces in the Midwest, including the 2022 Des Moines Arts Festival as an honorary Emerging Iowa Artist.
I do accept commission work based on availability, so if you are interested in my work or have an idea to propose, please reach out. All canvas frames are handmade by me and can added upon request.
